The Caribou Loop Trail is a 200 mile loop trail that begins and finishes in Alpine, WY. If you’re riding a bike the best way to travel is counter clockwise heading to McCoy Creek and finishing at the Greys River Trail Head. The route travels along several small creeks and rivers, including: McCoy Creek, Tin Cup, Diamond Creek, Smiths Fork and Greys River. This makes it an excellent option for bringing a small fly rod. I brought a Tenkara Rod Co Beartooth, perfect for bikepacking. If you really want to work the streams, I would take four days to cover the whole loop. The gravel roads are in fair to great shape. Take a + or ++ bike for optimal Cush. Te best part of riding the loop counter clockwise is you technically descend the last 63 ish miles along the Greys River. For route info search Caribou Loop Trail on Ride With GPS. And for basic info see www.cariboulooptrail.com. This is an absolutely great trail everybody should go!
